Kyocera Announced Hydro & Rise ICS Android Smartphones


Kyocera after the launch of the dual-screened Echo have announced two new Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS smartphones under the name of Kyocera Hydra & the Kyocera Rise.

According to the reports the Kyocera Hydra is a water-proof smartphone with iPx5 & iPx7 that allow it to survive even being splashed & being submerged in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

Coming to the Kyocera Rise it’s a sliding QWERTY smartphone which is holding a very similar design to Sony\'s Xperia X10 Mini Pro.

Specification wise both the smartphones share a common specification which includes a 3.5 inch LCD touchscreen (480*320 pixels),  1 GHz snapdragon processor and 512MB of RAM. They also get 2GB of on-board memory , a 3.2 mega-pixel camera and supports MicroSD cards.

As far as their launch is concerned they will first launch in the US in the coming months followed by UK’s market afterwards.
